native advertising
Native advertising refers to a form of paid advertising that blends seamlessly with the organic content and design of a platform or publication where it appears. The goal of native advertising is to deliver promotional messages in a way that feels more natural and less intrusive to the user experience, thereby increasing engagement and improving the effectiveness of the advertising.
net promoter score (NPS)
Net Promoter Score (NPS) is a metric used to measure customer loyalty and gauge the likelihood that customers would recommend a company, product, or service to others. It provides insights into customer satisfaction, loyalty, and the overall perception of a brand.
NPS is based on a simple question: “On a scale of 0 to 10, how likely are you to recommend our company/product/service to a friend or colleague?” Based on their responses, customers are classified into three categories:
- Promoters (score 9-10)
- Passives (score 7-8)
- Detractors (score 0-6)
To calculate the Net Promoter Score, the percentage of detractors is subtracted from the percentage of promoters. The result can range from -100 to +100, representing the overall sentiment and loyalty of customers.
news feed
A news feed refers to a continuously updated stream of content presented to users on a website, app, or social media platform. It typically displays a chronological list of news articles, updates, posts, or other types of content relevant to the user’s interests and preferences.
The content displayed in a news feed is often algorithmically curated based on factors such as user interactions, relevance, popularity, and personalization.
News feeds provide a convenient way for users to stay informed, discover new content, and engage with a variety of topics and sources.
no-follow link
A no-follow link is an HTML attribute used on a hyperlink that instructs search engines not to pass any authority or “link juice” to the target webpage. When a webmaster adds the rel=“nofollow” attribute to a link, it signals search engine crawlers to disregard that link when calculating the target webpage’s search engine rankings.
Overall, no-follow links are a way to indicate to search engines that a particular link should not be considered for SEO ranking purposes. They serve as a tool to control link attributes and maintain the quality and integrity of a website’s link profile.
nominate a friend
“nominate a friend” typically refers to a marketing tactic where a business encourages its existing customers to refer their friends or family members to the business in exchange for a reward or incentive.
The idea behind this tactic is to leverage the existing customer base to reach new potential customers.
To “nominate a friend”, customers are typically asked to share a referral link or code with their friends or family members, who can then use that link or code to make a purchase from the business. In exchange for the referral, the customer who made the referral may receive a discount, reward points, or other incentives.
